I’m not sure what you’re used to listening to, but this isn’t complicated whatsoever.
Generally, music from Pokemon games is very simple (with the exception of some occasional complex rhythms) and this track is no exception. The only thing that makes it seem complicated is the number of different instrument parts, and it’s very easy to take out less important instrument parts while keeping the vital ones in order to “dumb it down” for an 8-bit remix.

No, I said the music is literally too complex to even sound good on an NES. There are too many different tracks and beats the NES can’t emulate anymore. The music in the real game is good but the NES just epically fails at trying to emulate it.

You know, even though it’s on an NES emulator, it sounds more Gameboy-ish, in my personal opinion. Doesn’t change the fact that it sounds amazing, though.
