Multi-lingual subtitles available! This video will shows how to configure DSlinux, but mostly what DSlinux can do. It will only cover the basics. This is not a tutorial on compiling, program use, porting, or etc. The programs I have shown are only a few of the many programs on DSLinux In this video, I’m using the dslinux-dldi build with 8MB of ram. ________________________________________ DSLinux is a port of the Linux operating system to the Nintendo DS. DSLinux runs a modified µClinux kernel. It is currently based on uCLinux 2.6.14 (Linux-2.6.14-hsc0). It only runs in textmode and nano-x which is displayed via a custom framebuffer console driver. Input is done via a keyboard displayed on the touchscreen of the Nintendo DS. If you have questions please comment, go to the DSlinux Wiki, or go to the DSlinux Forums. A site dslinux.org wakes to work?
So basically I can run Linux compatible programs? Cool!
@DirtyMidgetStudios No
I have the original nintendo DS. Would the Lite expansion pack work for it
?
It dose not boot up help.
It dose not boot up for my help.
@iphoneguruhacker66 Yes. But some more ram demanding applications, such as the Pixil GUI, will not work
yes, but is it possible to load it without the expansion pak?
@WannaBHaxa The opera browser expansion pak. It came with the browser.
I recommend a gba flash cart. Do some research to see what amounts of ram they have
what expansion pack did you use? like, the name of it?
Can I use a GBA game as a Ram Pak?
How about that one thing that comes with the DS that goes in the GBA slot?
cfg_rc not found? what is wrong?
@tsuraraxjunzaburo As said in the video, those instructions were only for the people with the GBA build
@jtfunkymojo yeah, it is. And I guess that’s why it’s not working with your tutorial ?
@tsuraraxjunzaburo You’re probably using the dldi build. you don’t need to log in as root
when I type “root” it says “not found”.
What’s wrong with it?
@spydude123 I want to flame you. go to the wiki/forums
respectively: yes(duh), yes, hell no, yes.
So…. could you still play Normal DS games, and then when you want to boot to Linux you can?
Also when using the internet browser, is it faster than the DS browser? And can it run Java and Flash?
Ohh and can it read/play Mp3s?
