Thank you so much for this great tutorial. But I have some problems with it. When I start up my DSi and start the Acekard2i the “An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo Dsi Operations Manual for help troubleshooting” black screen comes up. I’ve ejected and inserted my game card a numerous times, I even formatted my SD card and re-installed akaio 1.8.7, but it still did not work. Please help, thank you. ~Spider

Maybe a connection problem, happens with older DS systems.
You can try the paper trick or might wanna try on a another ds to see if its connection issue or the Acekard 2i defective.

Go to settings and change the .sav file type to match your own.
Thers 2 types:
.nds.sav or .sav
I followed your steps exactly on my ds lite. When i put the acekard in it says “No DS card inserted” got any idea whats wrong?

I got mine working on my ndsi xl. I even got the moonshell2. It rocks. Movies look better then the old moonshell1.
Sorry, last one was a bit short. My first question is: what does the loader do? Does it flash anything permanent on my DSLite (i would use a AK2, not AK2i) or does it something else. Second question is: do all games run good (3D games) or have they limitations. Thanks for response
