Black Box Nintendo Games (Part 3 of 5) – Pat the NES Punk
The first section of part 2 (errr) of my review of the 30 black box NES games published by Nintendo between 1985-1987. Games played in part 2 include: Mario Bros. Donkey Kong Jr. Urban Champion Hogan’s Alley Tennis Donkey Kong 3 Kung Fu Slalom Gyromite Soccer Wild Gunman Volleyball Balloon Fight Gumshoe Pro Wrestling
Pros -2 Cameras -Sound channel is great -Shop has lots of good apps and games -Sturdier -Better menu Cons -L and R buttons are often nonresponsive – more than DS Lite -Some things in the shop are a bit overpriced -Cameras are only 640 x 480 pixelsWant to support me or just have more reviews come out? Video Rating: 4 / 5

If I remember right DK Jr. was also the first game to have “Jumpman” under his new name Mario, as well as Mario’s brother Luigi well sort of in the original arcade game which during the opening intro you see 2 Mario’s(the second one becomes Luigi in Mario Bros.) pulling up the cage with DK in it and moving it into place and says “Get the Key from Mario and rescue Papa” Also Mario get’s his name from the man who owned the old Nintendo of America warehouse “Mario Segale”.
This is so good!
i actually like DK3
hey pat were can i find a shirt like that i want one so bad
@lzrbck
Except Super Mario Kart came out before Donkey Kong Country. (Super Mario Kart, 1992. Donkey Kong Country, 1994.)
Unless you are referring to Mario Tennis on the N64 but then again Baby Mario & Baby Luigi were there too.
Great videos and staying unique, I love it.
I agree with you. I actually prefer DK Junior to the original. They are both fun games, I just liked DK Junior more.
your comedy is perfectly timed and not overdone…good job
huh wow never heard of donky kong 3
The Donkey Kong theory makes sense. 10 years difference between DK Jr and Country.
GB version of Tennis is much better, coz you can AIM the shots and players move at balanced speed.
I don’t know.Urban Champion seemed pretty good to me back then.Now I find it a 5 minute killer, but still pretty entertaining. *look at those expressions of pain…Uuuuf* Classic !
LOL at the beginning! Man, why aren’t people coming back to see these first videos? They are awesome!
Also, Donkey Kong Jr. was a playable character in Mario Kart for SNES (and maybe Mario Tennis for Virtual Boy, i forget).
Your copy of Mario Bros. must be defective. Mine displays both of the crab’s eyes.
In Wario Land, Mario does make a cameo and is kinda half bad guy half prick
Whoa! One-eyed crabs! In all the remakes, they’ve all had two eyes…what’s up with that?
ugh , urban champion .. one of the few blackbox games i have
the only thing that i dont really like about the black box games is that they are some of the more ecspensive nes games even though they are some the ones with leaste content
hey pat, you should review RPGs on the NES because there are so many and they range from good to bad to weird. It would make a cool review.
Sam, those two games are reviewed in part one. And I’d say most black box games are worth playing, except for a handful.
Cool review. The only black box games worth playing are the ones you left out, exitebike and mach rider.
would you recomend it to other people?
say if u had 408 pictures and u deleted 1 would u hav 409
Fook freaky, its black friday today :S
@keahrra10 well at least thats what i heard, so i could very likely be wrong but i heard that thanks to more memory space and the two cameras on the outside, they somehow benefit to the video ability but it dosnt really matter if it does or not because it has all those other stuff
@DarkNintendo2000 you cant take videos
@emmapaigegirl2000 it does? it didnt even come out yet and it has tilt control, you can take videos, 3d screens, AND MOST OF ALL, you can download the classic NES and SNES games! what could someone want more?!?!
@DarkNintendo2000 you want the 3ds? its horable

This video is very dark. It needs more lighting. You can’t see the mic and caeras.

@Warriorsfan354 Upgrade to the DS Lite… All these DSi features are pretty useless. Unless you like… sorry… unless your OBSESSED with puzzle games, don’t get the DSi. I regret getting one.
