Classic Game Room HD – FINAL FIGHT for Super Nintendo review
Classic Game Room HD reviews FINAL FIGHT for SNES Super Nintendo from Capcom. Final? Not so much, there were sequels afterall. The SNES Final Fight game cartridge was played by many, many people and enjoyed by all (except that one guy). This 1991 release for the SNES has some slowdown issues and lacks 2 player gameplay but is a great looking arcade game that packs a good part of the fun from Capcom’s original arcade beat ‘em up, Final Fight. Guy may not be in the game but Cody and Haggar are, trying to save Jessica from the Mad Gears. This game is a classic arcade side scrolling beat em up despite the removal of many of the things that made it cool. No chicks (chicks?) with handcuffs, no “OH MY GOD” and a severe lack of blood plague the SNES release of Final Fight. You forgot to mention Final Fight: Double Impact is also available for Xbox 360. I played this game in the arcade back in the day and was jealous when the SNES got this game released. But then Sega released the awesome SOR and I had my fix, plus the fact the Sega-CD version which was superior to the SNES version. A classic game indeed.
in the snes version they took a character some random guy called guy really his name is guy
@RawHunterX he is a final fight character but his name is actually Sodom.the SNES version of this game was made terribally odd,they took out the 2 player feature and for some reason and still to this very day that im trying to figure out they remove guy frome the game which it sucks,and they switch the characters names like sodom’s to katana,dammed to thrasher they removed poison and roxy and replaced them with billy and sid because poison and roxy are transexual people.
I think the reason behind the majority of Final Fight’s censorship for the SNES is due to CAPCOM exec and play tester Howard Philips. He pretty much called the shots into what can and cannot go into the game for U.S. home release. Needless to say, fans were upset with the way the game got treated so CAPCOM made up for it with Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3, which are great games.

@123doomdoom If the cool club was sitting in their Captain N underoos playing the lonely single player Final Fight port then I’m happy to be one of the losers being blown away by Streets of Rage with my friends.

Final Fight is better than Streets of Rage for me…their grafics, their music are better, the game!!!
just a quick question to all u snes gamers out there! do your snes games work without blowing in them or cleaning them what so ever?because my snes and nes games both take well at least 2-4 minutes just to make them play n after like 5-10 minutes of playing them they freeze! : ( i would love to know how to fix this cause i no its my console cause i just bout a new c2 consol which plays both nes and snes games.please help.thanks!
