Edge DS Overview
An Edge overview kind of thing. I didn’t see much video of it besides Blimps so i decided to make one myself. If you have any questions feel free to comment me as I know that I probably skipped a few things. Also, if your wondering about certain features and want a demonstration of it i’ll gladly do it for you.

This is the firstsegment of the World Record SDA run on Super Mario 64 DS. I am uploading special versions of the SDA videos just to show the file select screen too. I’m doing this to all of the rest of the segments so it will take a while for each segment to be up. I’ll try and get 2 new segments up per day, This is what I said on Segment 1 of the Run Segment 1: (Yoshi getting the front door key). This one was quite an easy segment. I save after getting the key because I don’t have to go through the 2 minute introduction and the different starting position after save warping is minimal. huh? nah it was inserted properly. if you go and read the forums on gbatemp there were loads of problems with the memory card sticking out with the edge fllashcards.

don’t get the r4 man. it sucks. i had it and the cheats wouldn’t work. i worked for 5 hours on the r4 and i couldn’t find a way to get them to work. my advice is that you should get the cyclods evoultion. it has better features. it’s so much better.
hey i just wanted to ask if an EDGE card comes with cheat codes already in the card itself. if it doesn’t i/m guessing you manually do it but i want to know anyway. i was thinking of getting either an Acekard 2i or the Edge card. I just don’t know which is better. PLEASE answer me back.

Yeah it’s on the list but you need to go to Nintendo 64 then to Super Mario 64. My run will be on that page as “Runs on the DS version”. I’ll send a PM to to a link of the possible reason why they do this.
Is this really on SDA? I went there and it wasn’t there in the DS Section. I’m a n00b I know.
so if somebody found a glitch so get through the body star door early we could get to the top floor. but then again you still need to get through the 50 star door ;|

This run is a non-glitch run.
It doesn’t have any major advantages (other than skipping the Bowser Battle) You would lose more time in future segments mainly because:
* The skip does take around a minute as Mario or Luigi to drain the moat early.
* It’s a long way round if I wanted to unlock Bowser’s 2 Door as Mario and I would even lose more time to switch as Luigi because I would need to exit the caslte and go to the other door to enter Dire Dire Docks.

It won’t obsolete this run in SDA if the 50 star run is made. They would add it as “Low% run with large skip glitches”
