Sounds like a sewing machine.
if the engine is cold there’s nothing wrong with it…It sounds fine…its the tappets from the valves moving and the timing chain running round.. if the engine is warm maybe its because you either put not enough engine oil or too much…orrr the wrong engine oil….but nothing you should be alarmed about…i work in a garage and this sounds normal

Here in brazil i have a Honda fit 1.4 (L13A9)
It’s a 1.4l i-dsi engine and sounds just like yours.
I think some of the i-dsi engines sounds like this because of the 2 spark plugs.
Well i prefer to think thats normal otherwise our engines are dammed…..

It gives this sound only after about 15-20 seconds running on base rev.(~600) and only at warm engine. If I pick the injector-pedal wire for higher revs for a second (1500) after falling to base it doesn’t sound like this for another 20 seconds. But then again
is it supposed to have that typewriter clicky sound. we don’t have the city here in the u.s. but i’ve seen some other vids that sound exactly like this

honestly mine is also noisy when u get close to engine and open the hood.
We checked but every other City sound like ours at the local dealer
Maybe the camera distorted the noise because all Citys’ sound is the same but not as agressive as on the video.
It is not related to the radiator fans because they are not working at the moment when video was made.
Everyone says here that the injector of the i-DSI engine made in Turkey Europe and distributed here in Hungary can be more noisy than others. It’s DENSO anyway.

yea, ther is definately smthg wrong w/ ur engine. My city neva sounded lyk this.

Such an interesting engine, kudos to Honda for building such an innovative version of the L-series motor! I have an L15 VTEC in my Fit Sport and love it!

How do you get it uk pal and works on uk pal dsi under 30 pounds because on ebay it always says dosent work on dsi and is us pal.
it most likely gonna take a week for me to beat it because i play lots of games all the time so yeah adventure game a year short games like mario kart wii,new super mario bros wii about 2weeks to a month
i finnaly beat it, i enjoyed it really well, the final boss music is epic.
