How to connect to a secured Linksys router using a DSi (XL)
LOOK FIRST IF YOU HAVE A LINKSYS WRT54G2 WIRELESS-G BROADBAND ROUTER BEFORE WATCHING THIS!!! THE BUTTON I MEAN: www.youtube.com Don’t ask me questions that it doesn’t work on the DS and DS Lite, because this only works for the DSi. This is my first video, so give me some credit, plz… (Note: U can’t play DS-games this way, but u can use the DSi-shop to get NDSi-browser for free, and play a bit with that, and system updates u can get.) Step by step: 1. Turn your DSi on 2. Go to system settings 3. Go 2 times to the right 4. Touch Internet 5. Touch Connection Settings 6. Touch Advanced Setup 7. Touch a “None” 8. Touch the picture of Wi-Fi protected setup 9. Press the red circled button u saw in the video on your router and hold it until it says: setup complete or something like that 10. U did it!!! You have to use the push button connection
Thank Q soo much it worked for me. Gosh it took me at least a week for me to hook my router to my Dsi.

i did it but at step 9 it says push button connection and pin connection :S xx help! x

there is unable to connect to the access point.check that the correct security key has been entered.for help support.nintendo.com error code 051110-1 WTH does that mean i don’t understand a sh*t of this! please help! x

You can’t play online with DS and DS lite games this way. It only works with DSi software, like the DSi shop, DSi Browser, Flipnote Studio etc. If you want to play DS or DS lite games you have to change the security of the router to WEP, and know the WEP-key then.

A DS doesn’t work with that. The 2 things that will work are de DSi and the DSi XL.

Its only for applications. Today, my router was set to WEP-security so I could do it the normal way.
