How to Install Firmware for R4i Gold
Since i have been getting like 30 or 40 PMs on this, i decided to make a tutorial =) but if it is still not working, don’t hesitate to message me again! there might be three different reasons why it is not working on your DS. 1) your sd card is not formated to a type that is supported by the R4i 2) you are installing the firmware from the wrong site. (REMEMBER! firmware from r4ids.COM wont work with r4′s from r4ids.CN) Check your R4i’s box to see what website it tells you to go. 3) You are not setting the files in the root menu of the Micro SD card. Those three files i showed you MUST be in the root menu =)

Nintendo has issued a press release revealing the tentative name of the DS’s successor: the Nintendo 3DS. As its name indicates, the new handheld system will support 3D gameplay, but notably without the need to wear 3D glasses; apparently, it will simulate an illusion of depth using a built-in sensor that follows your head’s movement, though this is currently unconfirmed. The 3DS will also support backwards compatibility with older DS and DSi titles. More details regarding the system will be revealed at the E3 convention on June 15th, and according to Nintendo, the 3DS will see an official Japanese release before March 2011. Nintendo has just slipped out a press release in Japan informing the world that all-new 3D-capable portable hardware is coming, with a full unveiling set for E3 2010 this June. Tentatively titled the 3DS, this glasses-free 3D wonder is pitched as the successor to both the DS and DSi, and will use a “compatible cart” that should ensure backwards compatibility with your vast library of favorites from the older consoles. Nintendo expects to launch the 3DS into retail “during the fiscal year ending March 2011. Unofficial reports from Japan suggest the 3DS will have a parallax barrier 3D LCD from Sharp, a vibration function, and a “3D control stick. Hey bro, so i just ordered an R4i Gold 3DS card and just wanted to know is it the same process, as in do you still use the WoodR4 V1.28 kernel to the SDHC or is there another?

help me dude!!! im in da uk, my dsi is 1.4.1e and i ordered r4i gold and it says its compatiblae with 1.4.1 firmware. ihave nothing on my microSD card, do i only need to download firmware or any other additional stuff to make it work on my dsi?

Sweet technology! But Im still concerned about the price along with games! I don’t want to go through N64 era again! (the high price of those great games). BUT, I heard that the battery life of the 3DS is weak (5 to 6 hours). Don’t believe me then go to IGN, Gamespot, 1up.com, etc…
