I followed instructions step by step, but when I load it in the DSi, I get an error message after I click on the game MechAssault.

I’ve followed all the directions (thank you so much for your video btw), but when i go to run MechAssault it tells me my DSi has encountered an error and to turn it off. Any solutions? I can’t find many answers via forums which is increasingly frustrating.

@falcon55 Also, aside from my description, theres a reason to dl those, i wont explain here but its always a known issue in all game systems.

  4. Jebrone says:

@EATech1 The purpose of the Cyclods is to test out ROMs that are already previously owned. Secondly the reason to do that is to make homebrewed games. If a beginner NIntendo DS developer would like to test out waters in something he might want to take as a career he could start off like this to see if he wants to be a nintendo ds developer.

Would it be possible to use other rom images when generating the bootstrap file? Any DS and DSi-enhanced game should work, right? The installer is extracting the headers to give the iEvolution something to report to the system to get around the check for a “real” card, from what I can tell.

It would be cool to make backup of ds games usig that roudy thing where you insert the game card

  15. falcon55 says:

@EATech1 Yes, it takes copywrite information from the card, and puts it on the cycloDS. So the act of doing it is illegal, the act of having a cycloDs is illegal, and the act of showing someone how to do it is also illegal. So I don’t see the point in not uploading the files to begin with :)

  16. EATech1 says:

@falcon55 I thought about that but I read their forum and they said they’re using this method for “legal” reasons. So I’m not entirely sure if it’s illegal or not to do it. I might do it though.

  17. falcon55 says:

wouldn’t it just be easier to host the bootupdt.evo on mediafire etc? every one Downloading 2 illegal roms each is just stupid if the SAME file is being generated every time

Thanks a bunch mate, I hope this works ;)
