This is a great premise for a game since I liked Harvest Moon but poorly executed. The biggest problem with the game is the 7 second load time every time you switch tools or leave your farm or go into a building. The music is annoying but you get a break from it during the 7 second loads which will be many many a game day. It is difficult to want to play for long periods of time because of these load times and after only 2 hours of play of which half had to be load time, I already had all the John Deere equipment. There are tons of trophys you can work for if you can stand the awful music which is the same 3 bars repeated over and over interrupted by the incessant load time. It isn’t worth the full price in my opinion so wait for it to go into the cheap pile at the store probably soon or buy it used or play Harvest Moon instead.

I love this game. My favorite thing about it would have to be growing crops and teending to either cows, chickens, goats, or pigs. In this game you start out as a rookie then work your way up to Farmer…etc. You also go through 4 seasons (Summer, Spring, Winter and Fall) and in each season(except Winter) you can grow different crops according to the season. You also can buy different farm equipment to help you tend to the crops. Overall this is a very fun game.

After playing FarmVille on Facebook I wanted to find a farming game I could play on the DS and this one is great! It provides long term appeal with different awards to win, animals to play with, and crops to grow. It isn’t difficult to make money to buy new things. One thing I don’t like is that you can only buy so many “squares” of cropland and then you have all this extra space. Time goes by very quickly, rather than actual time, so that makes the game move fairly fast. I wouldn’t call this an exciting game by any means, but if you have patience with games and like them to last a while, then this is a good choice for you. Similarly to FarmVille, you plow your crops, plant your seeds, and harvest. You also treat for pests and can enter crops to win awards. With the different animals, you feed then daily, clean up after them, and reap whatever product they produce (eggs, milk, wool, etc), as well as win awards with them.

Fun game for those not wanting to do all the running around and being social from Harvest moon series. The only thing is you have to manage your time better.

This game is kind of like Harvest Moon but not nearly as good. It’s a great time waster but I grew tired of it after a few months. I would say to buy it used if you can find it. It could used a whole lot of tweaking.
