Kirby Canvas Curse Review (DS)
This is an alright Kirby game for the DS BUT….this is not the original side-scrolling Kirby similar to Kirby Super Star Ultra (DS), Crystal Shards (N64) or Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy). This was a completely new idea that has you guiding Kirby through numerous colorful environments with the touch of the stylus. You guide Kirby by drawing a rainbow line to reach the end of each lvl and are forced to dodge obstacles and enemies which becomes quite tedious and repetitive after a few hours :/
My second try on this hack, but this time, using Rainbow Road’s Collision. And these are the results. Didn’t Nintendo want to make Test1_Course solid? More info: www.mariokartcw.org

I guess this game was okay, but definitely not what I expected from a Kirby game. Dang IGN giving it a 9…
Just got this game, and was pretty exited… It’s not as good as i thought it would be, and it didn’t come with the box art or manuel (box art is the reason I wanted it on my shelf…)

But yeah I know there are MANY other games besides FPS but a lot of people will go through an entire year and only buy the newest edition of Madden and Halo and that’s it. I totally agree, though that there are a ton of great games out there for both consoles!
@BlueBlazikenBlitz Yeah, unfortunately “gaming” is simply restricted to FPS games like CoD and Halo, which I do like, but definitely are not the only games I play. In fact, I probably play them the least. They just get old and repetitive after a while. :/ I can totally relate, though. ALL my friends are obssessed with PS3 and 360 and think the DS is basically for little kids…not the case!!! Anyways, SOOOO jealous of Monster Hunter Tri!

@BlueBlazikenBlitz Dude I’ve already seen the lineup and I’ll I can say is…after the Spring launch of the 3DS, I’m going to be BROKE! XD There are too many great games coming out I don’t even know how I would pick! My top 5 at the moment, though are Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarus, Star Fox 64 remake, Mario Kart, and either Kingdom Hearts or Resident Evil…but honestly, they ALL look fantastic!!!!
@BlueBlazikenBlitz I think that would be VERY interesting to play on the 3DS! THe art style and vibrant colors would look fantastic if they did it well. I would consider getting it…

@dsfan888 If you’re new to the Kirby series I would start with Kirby: Squeak Squad or Kirby: Super Star Ultra…..If you just want a touch based game then I would say this game is for you.

Since that demo is no hack, and it isn’t placed at DSHack.org, I really can’t give support on it.
And about the textures, yes, I can.
It’s just using some kind of Hex Editor with copy/paste and search abilities.

Nokonoko_Course works on Supercard SD only, no other card.
Test1_Course works after an NKM/KCL fix.

@miniyoshi93 No, for some reason, the “data” map is empty, and the only playable tracks, are Figure-8 Circuit and SNES Mario Circuit.

@miniyoshi93 I don’t know, I have the E3 cartridge, it contains a title screen, safety screen, ESRB screen, character select, and 2 Cups with 4 courses each.
Nintendo Channel has a title screen, and a loop of 2 courses.

@miniyoshi93 There are 2 demo ROMs available: The E3 one, and the Nintendo Channel one.
I never had luck opening up the Nintendo Channel one, though.
@UltimatePisman It’s been a long time, but I think it’s in the debug folder of Mario kart DS rev2 , or EUR Multi5 Kiosk demo. But I think ther’s no dump of this demo. But I’ve this Demo card. I will dump it later.

For me , The Test1_course is practically gone. The Debug mode too. I recently discovered the debug front and 4 things : “Debug” , “All karts”,”Test_coursee” and “Casserin_course”
