DSiWare preview of the launch line up of games. — Excerpt from Nintendo press release regarding DSiWare from their Autumn Confernce… To make it truly your own DS, you can download and store new software through DSi Shop. This is similar to the Wii Shop Channel mechanism. With these functionalities, DSi owners will be able to download the software they would like to enjoy and carry around with them on their own DSi. As the very first software title to be offered through DSi Shop, Nintendo will start distributing the DSi Browser free of charge simultaneously with the launch of DSi. The DSi Browser is an Internet browser, co-developed by Opera and Nintendo and comprehensively tuned exclusively for Nintendo DSi. This tuning made the browser faster, and now that it can be incorporated into the device, the utility aspect has been significantly enhanced. Furthermore, when we enabled faster communications for the DSi Browser and DSi Shop, we also achieved faster Wi-Fi communications for Nintendo DSi. When you use the Wi-Fi function of existing Nintendo DS software, the speed does not increase. However, for software specifically made for Nintendo DSi, it is possible to realise faster communications. As the second software to be downloaded free of charge through the DSi Shop, Moving Notepad will launch this year. Moving Notepade enables users to create hand-written memos. Of course, I am not talking about an ordinary notepad. For example, you can create cut-off animations, and …

@Dilster7000 they do just about everywhere else to
Spelling fail.
What!!??? They Sell in Japan 5000 Point Cards?
cool
Well i’ve gotta disagree with you, i’ve got warioware too, and its fun when it works- but atleast for my copy you need to light up the room with a blowtorch and use loads of face-paint. :*
Dude, Warioware is awesome. And you don’t need a greenscreen, I play it all the time in a regular non-lit room with white walls- and yes, I’m white. The game rocks. However I know it was a month ago but bird N beans was around then… that was the greatest game then…. for only 2 bucks! What was mamaluigi417 thinking!
Nope sorry dude.. Sadly I tried that and it didnt work.
The moving memo app comes out jut in the end of june think. BUT I ALSO THINK ITS WORTH THE WAIT
it’ll be a while until the DSi Shop hits its stride…. Me and my cousin were wondering if they could upgrade the browser to play YouTube vids and other Flash-related items…… It would be greatly needed in some way. And how long do I have to wait until the Moving Memo app comes out in the US?
Didn’t think it would work, thanks for the confirmation.
Tried doing that, it can’t be done.
It says that it can’t be copied.
Wario Ware is Awesome?
Come on, the game is flawed on so many points, i mean- you need a green-screen to play it for f*cks sake! But im sure DSiware will get better and better, its got loads of potential for games like Pocket Physics etc.
APRIL 27th APRIL 27th APRIL 27th

nintendo did a big failure because u can copy dsi ware to sd card and copy it to another system…
by the way in my shop i can only buy 7 titles and i got the browser , pyoro, paperplane and wario
A few things:
DSiware for NA blows. The only awesome game is warioware and the browser.
Mixed messages sucks. even the info video shows that.
thats what i been saying lol i have a good estamite for this release for the flipbook
dr.mario
It should be released within the next few months, but you shouldn’t have to wait too long.
i got a dsi yesterday when will the flipbook be out if anyone knows please reply
yeah, I doubt the rpg’s will come up but maybe some classics like the training card game thing
Yeah buying them with a credit card is 1 cent per point.
I believe that it’s €10 for 1000 points, but I’m not entirely sure. Check your Wii Shop Channel “Buy points with a credit card” page for details.
I currently buy all my wii (nintendo now :0) points via the store, but do you know how much cheaper it is to buy them w/ a credit card, cause if it is alot i may start doing that?
If you can do so, I’d recommend using a credit card for buying points since they are usually a bit cheaper, although don’t forget to check out your local gaming stores and supermarkets for the odd special offers every now and then.
As cool an idea as that would be, I doubt it, since many of the Pokemon games play similarly to the rest of the series, although there is still a good chance of some more Pokemon games making their way to the downloadable services in future, just probably not one of the main games (don’t quote me on that, though).
Also: the Virtual Console link up thing is probably also a no-go due to Nintendo’s lazy nature – like when they couldn’t be bothered to add in time trial saving for Maio Kart 64
