R4s works fine on the normal Nintendo DSLite. It doesn’t work so well with the Nintendo DSi due to hardware changes but there are workarounds to make it load and there are some clones which supposedly work. I have an R4 here (one of the originals) and it worked fine.

@sortofawesome I saw a video where the overclocked player actually got way ahead. His system basically assumes the normally clocked machines are experiencing lag.

I’m sorry that I’m a bit sceptical, but shouldn’t the soundfiles keep the same speed? At least spoken text? it sounds a bit higher pitched (don’t know if i translated it right) which would be caused by playing the video faster.

Quite clever, but the give-away is the “soft” transition of the blinking LED light when it is running slow ;P
Overclocking is suppose to smoothen the game’s FPS not speed it up.

R4′S do not work on the ds light (last time i checked at least) and u have to have the old bulky ds to use them

This IS REAL cause the light on the DS is blinking as fast as it would while the DS is fast.
look at the DS light, its flashing, you can see that the video is slowed down and sped up
