@CuPpYCaKe25100 Might be a torn top screen cable or a blown micro fuse.
when i turn on my DS the bottom screen flickers on for like a second then turns off. the top one doesnt come on at all.. Do you think I need to replace the screens or something else?

I have a dsi whose top screen was subject to a magnet and now only displays multi-color verticle lines. Will replacing the screen solve my problem? Thanks in advance!

wha happens if the screen turns black
DS sucks. Even when you wanna replace the screen, you have to do so many stuff like unscrewing, taking this and that out,pulling this out.. compared to the PSP.
nice guide (but whats with the strange voice?) is the strange voice realy needed ?
i have some dings on my top screen. do i have to replace the whole lcd or is there a top layer that you can buy similar to the touch screen?
Okay so I have a huge crack at the bottom of my screen and big black spots in the areas inside the cracks. Is this how you fix it? I really don’t want to pay $55 to get my dsi fixed when my little sister is the one who broke it in the first place and I do not have a warranty for the thing anymore.

wish they made it easier to remove those ribbons, there really easy to break.

I followed your video step by step and replaced the top screen.
I turned the dsi on and both screens come up white – so I guess they work.
My soldering seems to have also worked as I get sound.
What I dont get is any graphics at all just sound and white screens.
What did I do wrong?
is that ur real voice? Or r you disguising it?
Excellent tutorial – love the close up shots.
Out of the whole disassembly/assembly process I found rolling the two ribbons and putting them back through the hinge the most difficult part, especially since the ribbon on the screen is stiff from being new.
How do you fix it when like a little bit of the top screen is blank say like 1/4
@shemmar360 You either have a loose connection somewhere or you blew a fuse on the board. Hard to say without looking at it.
i did everything you said and then reconnected everything but when i press my power button the dsi doesnt turn on and then when i was charging it the orange light blink so i took out the battery almost a million times and it kept on blinking and wont turn on and the power connector is is connected good yet no difference any suggestion?
@bellynda1 They have to be soldered. No other way.

@kimsuratos ??? It’s tinted grey because there are grey lines going across the screen VERY fast. And what do you mean does it turn off by itself?

My top screen is “playable” but the colores are like messed up and very hard to see, would i be able to fix it by doing this? please respond a.s.a.p
