New Super Mario Bros 100% speed run Segment 37 (First Attempt, obsolete)

Well here is an attempt of me speed running one of the longest and toughest segments of the entire game. * Some tough time savers * Near-death risks * Loads of enemies in 7-6 The faster, published run will be a least 10 seconds faster thanks to better optimisation and better luck (the delays in the world map screen caused by Hammer Bros & Red ? Boxes). My performance was like this: 7-5 (2/3 coins and Alt exit) Very good attempt took damage nearby the first twin missile tower so that it’s easier for me to go pass the Bullet Bill so that I can jump on it for my first star coin 7-A After the Megashroom in 7-5, I became Super Mario again by default. There is one part I waited for safety reasons because taking damage means I can’t do a good time saver on this level after the 2nd star coin, otherwise a very good attempt. 7-4 (Alt exit) A very good attempt. 7-5 (Main exit and the last star coin) was a bit cautious as I was Mini Luigi (1 hit = death). There’s a mini pipe that only mini plumbers can enter. Another Megashroom inside so I became Super Luigi when I exit the secret room. I did the cautious speed strat and unfortunately got hit by the Massive Banzai bill. Not bad attempt up to 5 ingame seconds can be saved. 7-6 (1 of 3 star coins …

You got 1 star because you didn’t clear all of the stages, hidden exits and using all of the cannons.
You need to collect all 240 coins and pay them sign posts and touch screen backgrounds.
Each normal and secret stage have 3 star coins.
* – Clearing Bowser’s Castle at world 8
** – Clearing all of the stages, hidden exits and using all of the cannon

Both Jump and Dash buttons. While dashing at max speed, perform a jump, then another one as soon as you land and again for the third jump.
What buttons do you press to do the front flip or whatever it is called and how do you do it.

Chronorox
has made an Any% with Warps run on New Super Mario Bros and it was Single Segment. It’s very impressive but it failed the quality test (DS original & Auto Focus) so it couldn’t be published to SDA. You should watch it still.
For the best luck you’ll need:
* A blue shell on 1-2 to to least get pass the blocks for the 1-Tower alt route.
* A MIni mushroom from a Red ? Box or hammer bro to skip the stalling lift 5-G
* A another shell for 8-3 water level
ya i guess so, like with getting the blue shell from a red box to get the world 1 to world 5 warp
You saying a World 8-Bowser Castle run?

Or if you are talking about a Any% Run with warps…. there’s too much luck involved if you want to get the fastest time.
a speed run to the final boss would be more interesting (and SHORTER)
