It’s being released February 26th 2011 and March 2011 for the US
@NintendoAndMario i dont want to patronise you but mabye thats the japanese release date (since nintendo is a japanese company) and its being released spring 2011, KNOW IT ALL. GOSH!
The 3DS belongs to the DS family, just like the Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Light, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, Game Boy Advance SPII, and Game Boy Micro are all part of the “Game Boy” family…. although you could replace “family” with “series” if you wanted. And for those who call the 3DS the 5th in the series, it’s more like the 3rd, because you should think of the DS and DS Lite as the same as the GB, GB Pocket or GB Light, i.e. only the design is different.

1.-it says (C) 2010 adanfime12 because i have seen around youtube people that stole my vids and uploaded them as theirs so if they try to steal the video, the (C) adanfime12 thing will show up.
2.-i have seen sites around the internet that says that march 31 2011 will be released but internet creates rumors… i will change the description.
3.- i already had an issue with the 3DS not being a part of the DS family… my mistake, i was supposed to write the DS franchise xD

And also there is NO confirmed release date yet, so that release date in the description is technically wrong.
And 3DS is not part of the Nintendo DS family, it’s a new gen console.

@adanfime9 No, it is not. By your logic, the ps2 and the ps3 would also belong to the original ps family. They all use optical media and they all have a striking similar controller, and they all have the “PS” name on them. It does have the dual screens and the stylus, but that’s just adopting an older idea. If it belonged to the same family, then all DS games would have the 3D effect on the new system and all 3DS games would be compatible with the original DS systems.
@gamercat86 but the ds family means that it comes from the DS franchise, because all of the DS systems: includes stylus, has 2 screens and one of em is touch… every DS does that. So it is part of the DS family.
The Nintendo 3DS does not belong to the DS family. It’s a successor of the DS. It’s been over a month already and some people still insist on that. If you’re going to spread the word, then do it right. A lot of people will follow that thinking and buy DS games hoping that they will show up in 3D. The 3DS will accept DS games, but they will not be in 3D and it will have its own 3DS games not playable on DS systems. Why bother with this misinforming videos?
3DS? That means it’s gonna have games in– wow.
