I did what (wackywazup) said and pushed ribbon cable for the top screen all the way in and it worked. Your problem is when the hinge broke your ribbon cable was pulled out and torn. You will need to replace the top screen/ribbon cable assembly because it comes as one unit and the hinge or housing depending what broke.

thates the same exact thing thate happend to me the screen brook it wont turn on then i finally figered it out. my ds was in my backpack and someone put water in it and wher the chareger is suppose to be thates were the water weant

so here your problem after replacing a few screen myself i came across this same thing except my hinges arnt broke i found out that my top screen ribbon cable wasnt all the way in like it should be on the bottom screens mobo once i made sure it was in as far as it would go bam it fired right up
I actually had this problem when i was replacing the screens on mine, your upper screen connecter is eather severed or came out of its soket. if its not severed, then you can open up the ds and reconnect the connection on the back of the motherboard, look up how to take apart a ds lite/how to replace screens on a ds lite if you need help.
I need help. My DSi won’t ready any game I put in it. I tried all of my DS games but it couldn’t read one. I bought Pokemon White the day it came out and tried it on my DSi and it didn’t work. The DS itself is acting up and I really need help. I bought a DSiXL because it broke but with Pokemon, you absolutely need 2 DS’s

Well, it was filmed some 3 years ago with a camera that was allready old at that time
it’s almost 2011 and people still have bad qualety cameras

dude , i downloaded it to my R4 and its a lot of fun! and it even saves the file as a mpg. (image) just when you get to your pc , just extract it !, its really cool
even tho i downloaded the last updated but , i was bugged , i couldnt draw, so i downloaded the first one, its cool tho!
