once again, i didn’t say it’s wrong to use black sludge. it’s a completely viable option that many trainers use. that said, it’s not objectively a superior option. if an opponent’s tricker receives black sludge from a trick, then he can trick it again onto another of YOUR pokemon. remember all those cool things you were waving your black sludge pom poms for? well it can happen to YOU, leaving you with a choiced subpuncher AND a guy who was tricked a black sludge. each has its own perks
@mlitrus Ideally, black sludge in-play just makes the entire match more interesting. Not even steel-types can withstand it, so it’s like a type of lotion only Aveeno’s skin can withstand, any other non-poison type skins will just rot and decay. Lefties however, make a greater disadvantage. Trickers usually equip choice items, so with black sludge you’d at least be doing that small bit of damage, whereas lefties help the opposing pokemon and lock you into a move.
