The competitors at this year’s tournaments will battle with Pokémon from the new Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version games exclusively. In the United States, the Regional tournaments are open events, meaning you just need to show up ready to play, although space is limited. The top players from each Regional event will be invited to compete in the National Championships in Indianapolis in June. Then, the top players at the National Championships will earn invites to compete with players across the globe at the Pokémon World Championships in San Diego, California, this August! In Europe, National events will be held in England, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Like the Regional events in the United States, all of the European National events are open to all attendees

    Actually, it is fair because you can just make pokegened pokemon yourself. If you choose not to, it’s your loss.
    I was at a big event in Philly last year in which I didn’t use pokegen pokemon and I still got very far, so I can sorta see where you’re coming from. But pokegen is available to everybody, so make use of it.

    we need more elbow bladed poke’mons, and kicking poke’mons. too many gorilla-like poke’mons.

  4. N1ceV1d says:

    sceptile, gallde, and heracross, all could have had better attacks like; elbow blade, double elbow, etc.

    @chilebowl257 the primary reason that these checks happens is because sometimes pokemon arent legal (as in not the right stats & Too many EV’s) I honestly believe u are tryin to say that u are mad at Sucker4Jessica because he got to the finals and got DQed, not because he knocked ppl out. becuase the only problem he had with his HYDREIGON(not any other pokemon) is that he put it at the wrong lvl. not becuase of the stats or anything else.

    @chilebowl257 You’re right, in a legit competition it probably is better off not leaving it to chance. Your original postt gave me the impression of someone who was just mad people brought saved pokes to a competition. But I will definitely agree for the sake of caution its best to breed your own. Though I think they’re against the idea of rnging, not that rng can be detected.

    @chilebowl257 Awww little baby is mad. I’m having trouble comprehending why you’re being such a little girl about this. Basically, if someone generated their Pokemon, they still have the same chance to win as you DURING the battle. If you get knocked you, you get knocked out. If your opponent is later DQed, just pretend he withdrew or something so you feel better. Oh, and before you blame hax or speed ties, remember that it happens regardless of whether you hack or not.

    @Swordsman99k
    oh yeah btw there’s no way for one to successfully “hack and disguise their Pokemon” as they fail the hack checks every time, so pretty much that person would have knocked out 4 players, whether they’re good or not, and would just be sent home. But you know that’s okay because they could say they ruined vgc for those 4 people, who may have been a randoms that got 4-0ed or #1 on the vgc leader board on PO and lost because of hax or a speed tie

  14. chilebowl257 says:

    @Swordsman99k
    wow i’m done, you obviously can’t comprehend anything i’ve said to this point, you’re ignorant and lack any sort of knowledge about VGC, I can tell you’re just a random wifi player so stfu, there’s no such thing as a perfect team in the VGCs every competent player knows that. You go on and on saying “i’m whining about losing to a hacker” when i stated i never lost to one before. Stop arguing as you know nothing about the VGC environment

  15. Swordsman99k says:

    @chilebowl257 Here, I’ll help you in one thing at least; if you’re going to cry about losing, please do it where people won’t hear you. Especially not in a Youtube video. Now, if you’re going to argue about things not being fair because you lost to a hacker, please only argue if they hacked DURING YOUR GODDAMN BATTLE. Else, all the other person did was bring a Pokemon team formulated to the best of their abilities. If you’re that much of a greatly-prepared player, you should beat any hacker.

  16. Swordsman99k says:

    @chilebowl257 Oh boy, here comes the Pokemon expert to tell us that “It’s not fair to lose to someone if they hacked because they may have won on random chance.” Your argument redundant simply because someone who hacked and disguised their Pokemon well could have beaten a person who spent the hours of tedious effort on the game. It wouldn’t matter if they hacked pokemon or not, then, would it? If you lose, you lose. Nobody should be a whiny little girl about it if their opponent is DQed. Boohoo.

  17. chilebowl257 says:

    @Swordsman99k
    Wow obviously you lack the ability to comprehend what I’ve stated, I never said hackers control luck, i said MAY have lost because a crit or full para. You’re the hopeless one, as you don’t seem to grasp that VGCs aren’t wifi battles where people don’t care if you hack. If you have little time you could rng the pokes, I never said to breed. You’re obviously are hard headed and don’t seem want to listen to the other side despite the fact you don’t seem to know a thing about VGCs.

  18. Swordsman99k says:

    @chilebowl257 Wait, wait, now you’re arguing about hackers being able to control the random portions of the game? Wow, you are truly hopeless. Here, if you really want to play “fair,” go and breed your Pokemon for some more hours while I and the rest of the people who don’t bother to spend half our life on the game do other things. Or better yet, make more excuses and cry some more.

  19. chilebowl257 says:

    @Swordsman99k
    Obviously you know little to nothing about the atmosphere of these events, because if you did you can see why people do try so hard to win these things, you’d see why it’s looked down upon to hack and get dqed for it, as you’re robbing players of their chances to compete and earn invites to Nats or Worlds. It’s not fair to the player who may have lost to the hacker because of a crit or a parahax to lose their shot at nats, and then watch the other guy get escorted out for hacking

  20. chilebowl257 says:

    @Swordsman99k
    wow obviously you’re ignorant, you’ve failed to see the point that people shouldn’t be losing to hackers period, TPCI doesn’t want hackers, that’s why they have hack checks, it’s wrong for one to lose their spot in competing any longer, to someone that isn’t even gonna go further themselves, that’s the point i’ve been trying to make, i never declared myself a pro or big shot, i’ve just been saying it’s not right for one to lose to someone who’s not even gonna get to compete later

  21. Swordsman99k says:

    @chilebowl257 Hahahahaha Wow, did you just declare yourself a “pro” Player? Seriously, get out of here. If you spent that long playing Pokemon for that one day of possible losses, then that’s your problem. Don’t blame other people for their victories or you seem like a child making excuses. Now, when you lose, let me remind you that it doesn’t matter what your opponent does next. They could get DQed or go on to win but it shouldn’t matter to you because you still LOST. Don’t try to be a bigshot.

  22. chilebowl257 says:

    @Swordsman99k
    I never said i lost to someone who hacked, in fit i never had, I’ve lost to players either better than me or who were more lucky than me. You obviously don’t know shit about the VGCs because a loss that you don’t deserve can put a year’s worth of work down the drain and you if you put as much time that most of people do put into these events you’ll know it sucks to lose to someone before the finalist lounge who then got dqed. Obviously you’re a wifi player who doesn’t understand

  23. Swordsman99k says:

    @chilebowl257 Dude, you’re still hurting about the hacking? Who gives a care? That person would have likely been disqualified anyways by someone else who hadn’t hacked. It really doesn’t matter if you hacked or not. And if you are going to be whining about losing to someone who got DQed, then realize they still beat you so it doesn’t matter what happens to them. You weren’t going to do any better by facing another opponent.

  24. chilebowl257 says:

    @Swordsman99k
    Obviously you don’t see the point, it’s one thing to lose based skill but this meta is 90% LUCK, so it’s hard to lose to someone but then to hear that they get dqed before finalist lounge is even worse. It’s not winning or losing that irks me, it’s when someone loses to someone who hacked and that person got DQed for HACKING. How is that even fair to the player who just barely lost the match the round prior to that? They just lost their chance at the VGCs when they shouldn’t have

  25. Swordsman99k says:

    @chilebowl257 How do I put it? If the mons were not hacked but you still lost, would you react the same way? Or do you just hate the fact that someone put in less time to the the game and still beats someone who spent hours, days, or weeks on it? Whether you hacked your Pokes or not, it all comes down to the battling portion. If you lost to someone who has hacked pokes, you would have lost to them if those pokes would have been legit. People just find excuses to say “I shouldn’t have lost.”
