Rant on New Nintendo DSi XL/DSi LL
I read this little article about Nintendo releasing a new Ds, and I thought ,”WHAT COULD THEY POSSIBLY IMPROVE!?”. Basically nothing…. I got the first three models each at launch and I love the DSi compared to the lite and phat. It’s awesome. But the XL is just a waste, if you bought one now you’re really screwed because of the 3ds coming in March.
@IzLoveMoneyz me too my friend bought the xl and i told her about the 3ds and she was PISSED cause also last year she finally bought a ds lite right before the dsi came out XD
Agreed. I havn’t even picked up a DSi yet. Now that I know the 3DS is coming out, I’m totally going to get that. I think it was a bad advertisement plan to announce the 3DS about a week before the release of this new DS.
to be honest i didnt care for gba games i only played the gba for the final fantasy advance ports and my ds lite was about to break so i sold quick at gamestop and bought the dsi (for gba i just kept my gba sp) and when the announced the xl i had no intrest in it and i chose right cause now they’re releasing the 3ds which is a COMPLETELY new system so i can now afford it.

the dsi xl was for older people I think
yeah but there all used or preowned right u dont see companies making new gba titles anymore it might not be dead but its pretty damn close
I got a XL and it’s not all that bad the graphics have slight pixelation but its bareley noticible and i dont mind that the gba slots gone i pretty much move on from gba so in my opinion if you have a ds llite or origial its prob worth upgrading but if u have a dsi just stick wit that
I think that the Nintendo DSi XL was a bland idea. I mean, I don’t care about a bigger screen, plus if you trade in your ordinary DSi, the price is reduced to 99$. What a waste of money!
It isn’t supposed to be a ‘money making scheme’. It was designed for people who are old, have poor vision, or have arthritis. Nintendo also stated that this was supposed to be an alternative to the DSi, not a replacement (so they’re not expecting original DSi owners to buy it). And they’re making the 3DS next year anyways.
I got a bronze (dark brown) DSi XL, and it only looks brown when you’re playing in a warm-colored light. Otherwise, it looks black (with a shiny bronze finish on the bottom).
LOL you mixed them up… it’s the XL here, and the LL in Japan.

It is a money making “scheme” however all products that any company makes is a money making scheme. Plus who cares about GBA games?

@joeeffect10 Who says they’ll start with a fat version? They might skip right to the 3DSi. Also, I got my DSi XL and it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Maybe you’re not in the USA, but I have 4 stores within a 20 mile radius that sell Gameboy games. GameStop and PlayNTrade.
Listen, Game Boy advance have been fazed out. Game shops don’t sell game boy games anymore. The same thing has been happening for years. They faze out the game carts for the old system.
It’s just that when the DSi came out they fazed it out quicker. Plus no one who is a kid or doesn’t have a GBA will play GBA games. If you want to play GBA games play your Game Boy advance.
The DSi wasn’t made for playing old games. It was released for other things. Stop your whining, the GBA is dead grow up.
Same here dude besides how the hell are people not me but people suppose to play Guitar Hero World Tour for The DS. 1 first of all they make a Smaller DS THEN now they make a bigger one why didn’t they just make the DSi XL before the DSi They where to make it smaller and now they are trying to make it bigger WHAT THE HELL and it has all the same features as a dsi so there wasn’t any point take my advice only by a DS if it has new features

@joeeffect10 I have heard of it. I’m actually sort of fearing its release. If I’m getting the DSi XL, I’ll probably be conned into getting the 3DS not even a year later.
