Recording From Your Nintendo DS
Hopefully, this video should answer the questions I’ve been receiving about how to record off your nintendo ds. I hope this video is informative and that everything is in focus. Happy recording everyone! –FAQ– Q: How do I record the bottom screen of the DS? A: This method is only for the top screen of the DS. To record the bottom screen all you can really do is use a recording program like Hypercam, CamStudio, etc to record the bottom screen of a DS emulator. For the actual DS just holding a webcam with your hand above the screen is the only way I can think of. Q: Why this particular webcam? A: Simply because it has a focus ring. Any webcam with a focus ring will do. Webcams without a focus ring will produce blurry quality. The focus ring allows you to adjust the sharpness and thus get your recording in focus. Q: I have a built in webcam on my computer. How do I use that to record my Nintendo DS? A: You can’t. Well not without frustration anyway. You won’t be able to see the DS for starters if your computer is in front of it and you won’t be able to see what you’re recording because the back of the computer will be facing you. Just get a webcam. They’re not very expensive nowadays. Q: Will this work with my video camera? A: It might if you have an expensive camera that is not sensitive to viewing things this close. I’ve tried it with a regular, digital camera in the past and the quality was too blurry as most cameras are too sensitive to record at such close range. A …

…the recording idea is able to do. I just don’t get how you’d be able to play the game if it’s on the table. You’d have to put your hands around the webcam to play and keep the DS steady.

and keep on twisting until you see a good quality
make sure ur using youtube to film.

Any brand of webcam you can recommend? I’m hoping to do a run of Pokemon Black and White soon, and this could help me out.
