DD I’ve been hunting this VERY VERY LONG TIME and it’s maybe my longest hunt ever. And maybe my last shiny of 2010! Hopefully I can get my next Black/White targets shine faster

@DrDimentio Yeah, I don’t shiny hunt anymore alot, because I often have long hunts, end up having bad IVs and don’t have time. No problem! Do you know was the Pokedex picture shiny, when you found shiny roamer?

@shinygamer9 I was about to mention that too, you deserved awesome IVs after all that time! Seriously, the main reason I don’t shiny-hunt more often is the risk of ending up with a barely-usable shiny after a hugely long time like you spent. Thanks for the congrats, I wasn’t trying for a shiny Thundurus since roamers are so slow to SR – just got really lucky when going for good IVs and nature!

Congrats on the roaming shiny, they’re very rare sight (I think you had shiny Thundurus 1st on YT)!
Even though it took me less than 50 SRs for shiny Thundurus, seeing a shiny hunt that took over 70,000 is really off-putting for my current hunt… I’m amazed at your dedication. You definitely deserved for it to be Synchronized after all that, lol.

1/8192 is the same as 8/65536 it’s just simplified. if you check Bulbapedia
“This results in a probability of 8 in 65536; simplified as 1/8192″

actually the true odd for a shiny pokemon is 8 out of 65536 which is really low of a chance.
Plus I seen people sr for 3 month to get a shiny.
It depend on luck and not odd.
Also its more thrilling not cheating.
@supersonicprices I got up to 21000 SR for shiny giratina, yes it is dull but it is want shiny hunters do.

You either lied about not using AR or you lied about the amount of times you SR’ed because the odds of getting a shiny is 1/8192 there is NO way you could have SR’ed 70,000+ times without a shiny and even if you did that’s just sad, I’ve only ever SR’ed for a shiny once and that was a shiny Totodile which took about 3 1/2 hours, around 1500-3000 SR’s and it was so painfully dull i swore never to do it again, you’re better off just letting it happen it’s more thrilling that way.
