My 3 year old got this for xmas, she loves it. She can play it by herself after being shown the “I did it”, “Next”, and “Done” buttons on the side. She enjoys all 18 games and can tell from the picture on the menu what game is what. I like that she doesn’t need to know how to read to be able to get the directions correct. The jewelry maker game needs jewels of a certain color and the in the direction the direction for what color is needed is not only printed, but it is in the color needed, so all she has to do is look up and see red, she knows she needs a red jewel. For the Take Home game you need a certain number of a animal to put in the house, the animal is pictured in the direction and there the number of that animal needed mixed in with other animals. She likes that she is a “big girl” and can play like her 13 year old brother, without any help from Mom. I would recommend this game for anyone struggling to find age appropraite games for younger children.

I purchased this game for my three-year old daughter for christmas. Prior to this game she played the free games on the internet and has a VTech. In this game the interface is decent and offers many options of gameplay. Once we put the game in and turn on the Nintendo DS, all we need to do is help her navigate through the DS OS before the game begins. Once it begins she is on her own and loves playing the coloring and picture comparison games. She is completely into this game and we are glad that we had purchased it.

Got this for my 5 year old daughter who has a very short attention span when it comes to games at times. This is just enough to keep her very interested (without getting frustrated).
She lost some interest when she got some other games that she can play with her big brother… but still pulls it out at bed time to mess with before going to sleep

My 3 yr old grand daughter likes this game; but the front screen is not color as it is on Smart Girls (1); I can see what the games are when I scroll over them because I can read. The Smart Girls (1) front screen shows her exactly what the games are. She likes these games once she gets to them. Knowing now, I would have not purchased Smart Girls 2; I will read more reviews of the other Smart Girls Series. I do like the fact that these games do keep the interest of 3 yr olds. She wants to play games when her older sister gets to play them. Overall though, this game is better then some of the games for younger ones.
