@TheFrkOut argument has nothing to do with opinions. If it did your counter-statement “obviously my opinion is inferior to yours” would be a decent witty comeback, but instead you’ve proven yourself to have no understanding of the differences between subjective and objective evidence. Instead, your comment makes you sound like a sore loser, completely incapable of refuting my argument, and therefore relying on logical fallacies to get the “last laugh”. You disgust me.
@TheFrkOut Once again, you’ve resorted to ad hominem fallacy. Instead of refuting my argument, you simply remark sarcastically that I’m modest and then you straw man me again by saying that this has anything to do with your opinion. Get your ass out of your head, this has NOTHING to do with opinion. I’ve already explained and supported my argument with OBJECTIVE evidence. You’re done because you don’t know what to say because you realize that you’re incorrect. And you’re incorrect because this
@TheFrkOut Next time, if you don’t want to get owned when you disagree with someone or simply don’t understand their position, say “I disagree, why do you say that?” and you will be spared the ownage from the occasional tuber who actually knows what they’re talking about
@TheFrkOut but an objective fact, because the Mario games were fast-paced, frantic, and somewhat difficult at times. This arrangement is relaxed and it honestly sounds as if the orchestrator was not familiar in any way with the actual games. I say this from my experience and knowledge of orchestral music and video game music, and not out of my ass, which is where your comment came from. People like you are the scum of youtube, attacking people using logical fallacies as your weapon of choice
@TheFrkOut something so blatantly false. The music was NEVER relaxing in the older games (I played and beat Lost Levels recently which has the exact same soundtrack as the first game), and if anything it was cheerful/motivating yet appropriately somewhat frantic. ALSO, my argument was never that this arrangement wasn’t emotional! I simply said that this orchestration was terrible (which it is) because it doesn’t capture the Mario spirit (which it does not). This is not a statement of opinion
@TheFrkOut games fit accordingly to that energy, and that this arrangement does NOT. Secondly, what the hell do you mean I haven’t listened to enough music? How would you know? I can assure you that I have a significantly more advanced musical and critical ear than you do after studying and listening to classical and video game music for almost a decade now, and that I know what I’m talking about. I think if you even took a small glimpse at my channel you would have known better than to say
@TheFrkOut Your ad hominem/straw man counterargument disgusts me. I’ve been studying music for nearly 8 years now, and am currently working on becoming a composer for video games. First of all, your straw man (which is distorting my position and then attacking it) against me is that you misconstrued my position as “music has to be fast-paced, etc to be emotional”. I never once even came close to implying this. I said that the MARIO games were energetic and fast-paced, and that the music from the
I know I might get flames for this comment, but it does’nt have to depend whether you like Mario or don’t(I don’t), the musics of mario games are just awesome
im using this sound track for a drama project… I HAVE TO DANCE TO THIS. FUCK I CANT DESIGN THE MOTHER FUCKING DANCE :’( im gonna fail
(i cant even dace when it’s sinebody else’s dance…)
@Tom60062 You also make FAR too many presumptions when attempting to prove your point. You presume to know that others think I am snobby. You presume to know that there are other youtubers with musical knowledge up-voting this video. You presume to know why no one wanted to argue with me. Stop making presumptions and argue the facts. I have already provided you with contrasting evidence to show you why this doesn’t capture the Mario spirit. GO listen to the music from SMG/SMG2 and you’ll see.
@Tom60062 Actually, you don’t know what the other youtubers think of me. The vast majority of comments that get upvoted in the vast majority of youtube videos are idiotic anyway. No “expert in the field of music” who knows what Mario music should sound like would say that this is a good orchestration that captures the Mario spirit and the fact that you don’t realize this proves to me that you yourself are not a music expert, and have no idea what you’re talking about.
@AbsoluteZ3R0 Its not just me, who thinks you snobby, its all the people who voted you down that think so. By the way you seem to only looking at only the negative comments that you received. What about the positive comments others received. Like I said before, most you tubers aren’t experts in the field of music, but that doesn’t mean you are the only one who is. Perhaps other experts voted up the comments praising the orchestra. We need to stop spamming this video PM if you still want to talk.
@Tom60062 fast-paced, colorful, and energetic. This orchestration, if anything, makes the music sound relaxing and dull. It is very clear to me that whoever orchestrated this is not familiar with the Mario games to the extent that we, the listeners, are. If you want to hear GOOD orchestrations of Mario music, listen to either of the Galaxy soundtracks. THAT’S good orchestration. This is emotion-less trash. Sorry if you think I’m being snobby, but you’re wrong.
@Tom60062 My comment wasn’t snobby. I’m not one for euphemisms. I do not hold the opinion that “I don’t prefer this arrangement.” I do believe that this is objectively poorly orchestrated. Stop calling it an “arrangement”. The art of orchestration is a very complex and specific type of arranging. It’s like calling advanced calculus “math”. My comment wasn’t rude or inconsiderate either because no one’s feelings are getting hurt. The Mario games from which these melodies are from are bright,
