For in-game features, the best choice would be the DSTWO in that case. Personally I don’t see much point with in-game features (Slow motion, RTG, RTS, FreeCheat, and toggling cheats in-game), but some people like them. The AK2i has no in-game features besides softreset (you can still use cheats like any other flashcart, but no changing in-game). The AK2i is more like the most recommended basic flashcart that can do the main things, and opts out of the little gimmicks that few people use.

  7. jurrasic10 says:

@Jurassicplayer so what you’re saying is that the AK2i is best for ingame features on 3DS at the moment?

  8. Jurassicplayer says:

@Jurassicplayer Continue: it would be better to get a DSTWO for those (cheaper and works just as well). If you want to just have the basic things of having high compatibility (iEvo, DSTWO, AK2i all have high compatibility) and the usual sort of flashcart features, then it would be best to get an AK2i. As for the iEvo working on a DS, it works perfectly fine on DSLites, DSPhats, DSis, and there are currently some quirks with the 3DS, but it works in DSi mode (might be fixed up later).

@nishchay434 It really sort of matters what you are planning to do. First off would be to drop that ultra card from the list, clones are never useful. If you aren’t an avid GBA gamer or don’t mind possibly being unable to play the newest games that are released every now and then (like “day of release”), then I would drop the DSTWO from the list. I wouldn’t really recommend getting an iEvo unless you are a homebrew enthusiast, because if you are aiming for in-game features (RTG, RTS, etc.)

@kazora1001 In most cases, filetrip.net is the best place to go for homebrew downloads (it’s an archive for various homebrew with a convenient-ish file search xD) because eventually, most homebrew seem to get uploaded there and if not, GBATemp.net generally gets a hold of the news and will link to the website of the homebrew in question.

  14. kazora1001 says:

@Jurassicplayer o thanks for enlightening me :) and can you recommend sites for homebrews?

  15. Jurassicplayer says:

@kazora1001 DLDI stands for Dynamically Linked Device Interface and for the most part, it is a means of standardizing homebrew so that it isn’t required of the homebrew dev to make custom versions for the various flashcarts out there. In simple terms, there is a section in the homebrew for the dldi information that tells specific flashcarts how to load things, etc. Most flashcart users today don’t have to worry about dldi patching since their cart usually does it automatically (for homebrew).

  16. kazora1001 says:

    whats dldi

  17. kazora1001 says:

@Jurassicplayer hey what is the difference between acekard 2i and cyclodsi?

  18. thefpsds says:

I’d laugh if it wasn’t really his flashcart but his laundry.

I’ve had a springloaded cart break a week after I bought it. I had to jam the MicroSD in with a piece of plastic. Stay AWAY from Games n Music, and the DSi Action Replays. Extremely poor quality!

  22. Jurassicplayer says:

@DamionCrane …o.0 *cough cough* Lameboy is a Gameboy/Gameboy Color emulator…There are only two GBA emulators on the DS…both of them are only usable with the extra CPU that is included with the iPlayer, iSmart Multimedia, and DSTWO. The CycloDS iEvolution doesn’t have the extra CPU and thus currently doesn’t have a GBA emulator…supposing that more devs play with DSi mode, it’s possible one might attempt making a GBA emulator, but as you have probably guessed, I’m not a psychic.

  23. DamionCrane says:

yes you can play gba games on it i have one and i use lameboy to play gba games on mine so there!! FUCK YOU TEAM SUPERCARD!!

  24. karlandjaketv says:

@Jurassicplayer thank you so much. and i went on the website again and it looks like if youre using the ievolution on ds lite you can still load gba roms. so i might hold off on getting the dsi xl for a bit.

  25. Jurassicplayer says:

@karlandjaketv The iEvolution IS backwards compatible (if you see my other video, I actually use the iEvo on my DSLite) and you definitely would still be able to use it with your DSLite before grabbing a DSi.
Unfortunately, it cannot emulate GBA currently and I don’t feel that I know enough about the flashcart to tell you if it is definitely possible or not.
