WarioWare DIY – Tetris

A nightmare to make, this one has a movable (8 positions), rotatable (2 positions) object with a set of very delicate win/lose conditions, and self-made music. I don’t know how long it took from start to finish, probably something between 5 and 8 hours.

@sonicschooler it means tat 5 lines were cleared before the game started not that there are 5 lines on the field.
@SilentBeutlin This is great! two things i would change though are the music, and the speed of the block. you should make the music loop, and there is no level in tetris in which the blocks move that slowly.
my version has a line coming down and you need to rotate it once.
What was that sound at 0:38?

wow this game looks awesome. i had wariware touched! but for some reason i sold it. *regrets decision*
My one problem with this game is that that’s not a tetris.
A tetris is four lines.
@SilentBeutlin And thats the fun part!
It says 5 lines but there is only 4. Do you many 5 shapes?
You got the music wrong, and that’s not an L-block.
If you could make it random some how…
I’d like to dissect this game as well. I’m still learning the basics but I think my first game turned out well.

Can I have this game?
@tgordon681
Well, “flexible”…
the biggest challenge is to find ways around its limitations.
This is such a flexible editor, isn’t it?
I know, it used to be a long block and four lines, but working with the grid and space restraints I had to make it an L-Block and three lines.
That is not a tetris. Cool game nonetheless.
Very cool, can’t wait to download it and see how you did it
