Windows Tutorial: Update/Fix Action Replay Code Manager Driver [Windows Vista & 7]

This a 99.9% guaranteed-to-work tutorial on how to fix the Action Replay driver problems many have had after upgrading their machines to Microsoft Windows 7. I advise you to very carefully follow the tutorial and instructions, and to do exactly as it says. If you find “Other devices” instead of “USBIO controlled devices,” it’s fine. It should still say “NDS Data Max” if you expand it. I AM NOT ANSWERING ANYMORE QUESTIONS. IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION, LOOK FOR AN ANSWER IN THE COMMENTS. I HIGHLY DOUBT YOU WILL NOT FIND AN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION. Requirements: – Operating System: Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit / Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit – Driver Updates: Action Replay Code Manager CD Installer / “SetupUS1_05″ Download Installer – Nintendo DS: Nintendo DS (original) / Nintendo DS Lite – Action Replay DS Cartridge: Firmware 1.6 and up – USB Cable: Standard Action Replay USB cable Used here: – Operating System: Windows 7 32-bit – Driver Updates: “SetupUS1_05″ Download Installer – Nintendo DS: None – Action Replay DS Cartridge: Firmware 1.6 – USB Cable: Standard Action Replay USB cable NOTE #1: This will NOT work with ARDSi. Nor will any Action Replay DS firmware version under 1.6 work. To check what firmware version you have, boot your DS with the ARDS cartridge inside. Then, at the main screen, look at the top-right corner, it should say “v. 1.6″ (if it’s the correct firmware). Anything lower will NOT work with Windows Vista or 7 hardware. When I go to USBIO Controlled Devices with my Action Replay plugged in, what’s there is ‘DSi AR HW Programmer Device’ and when I do the steps codejunkies tells me to do, a popup appears that says (in a shortened version): windows cannot verivy the digital signal for the drivers required for this software. Also, NDS data max is not there… how do I fix this problem?

is there a limit to how long a code can be?

  11. aronmustang69 says:

Actually… People with that problem go to codejunkies web page and look for the solution in support. I had to download the 64-bit ARCM that Charizard so graciously linked and find the driver in there. In the support section, choose DS in dropdown menu 1, and action replay DS and (…) in 2. Then find the FAQ ” Why does the Code Manager PC software…”. Here’s the solution.

My problem is that I don’t have NDS Data Max, but NDS link. I don’t find any answer to this problem in the comments, so I ask the question: What now? I try to update the driver from the CD, but “Windows was unable to install your NDS link”. Help!
