The cardiac defect can be fixed through a surgery and is nowadays a routine operation. About awareness: What do u think? They didnt notice the world with all its beauty? They might even notice more than ourselves, since our countless everyday sorrows make us blind to the small (beautiful) details.
Their abilities.. They learn. They need more time and thus to that patient parents, but they DO learn.
In any case is their life worth to be lived..!

I dont want to argue about god. It’s either you believe or not. For myself – I won’t question his existence.

Back to topic: I guess you dont know anything about the social abilities of a human with trisomy 21.
They are very sincere and have a big heart.
And last but not least: These are usually happy people.
About health problems – I mentioned them yet as a “bad” side. But honestly: Not every human with Trisomy is doomed to live in illness and die early.

@assassinator22 That phrase is not supported by scripture: God is all-powerful, pure good and he created every single thing in the universe. There is absolutely no requirement for him to have created and maintained Satan/all evil.

Downs Syndrome is good? Explain that to me. Heart defects and severe mental handicaps seem like severe downsides, both of which inhibit someone from experiencing life with the full range of human abilities and awareness.

cuz a good side always has a “bad” one aswell. good doesnt (cant) exist w/o the evil.
But ppl who believe in God will know, that the Down Syndrome isnt anything bad (rather the contrary).
The only bad side there are several health problems like cardiac defect AND the humans which dont accept their fellow men simply how they are.
Truth is, humans with DS r more handicapped becuz of their fellow men instead of their chromosomes.

@assassinator22 If God existed he is responsible for every disease and natural disaster. The polytheism of Christianity produced several gods of war and wrath, evil creatures that our species would not benefit from.

    Our species badly needs God.

  7. Turtleproof says:

Our species badly needs genetic screenings, compassionate abortions, and gene therapy.
